So, I have gone back and forth as to what was the best engine to use since the game came out. I was wondering if anyone had done any testing and can say with any certainty which is the best option for say a NVidia 3070, but also AMD and Intel cards?

For a long time, performance and stability appeared to be somewhat better with DirectX on my 3070, but with subsequent patches I keep hearing that Vulkan has improved, but does that mean it is now the preferred option or not for the best experience in patch 7?

I used DirectX for a long time, until I figured Vulkan with vsync "double buffering" instead of "triple buffering" increases performance exponentially. Max settings and the fans don't even turn on.

Interesting, what card do you have?

This solution worked both with my old Nvidia Geforce 980 and just now Rtx 4080.

Edit: I'm curious if this works for anyone else.

What do you mean double buffering with vsync?
I have RTX 3080 and always turn off vsync since I have a gsync monitor. Can you show your settings screenshot?

I have a very old monitor with a fixed 60hz frequency. Turning it off is even better in your case I guess.
