Until Patch 7, I never had any problems installing mods from Nexus. Patch 7 has pretty much broken everything.
I followed the modding insstructions from the Baldur's Gate Wiki on how to add mods: https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Modding:Installing_mods

Nothing seems to work. I can start the game from the BG3 MM, but none of my mods seem to work, such as 5E spells or Whispers of the Divine.

I'm about to give up on BG3 for a while.

It shouldn't be this hard and I'm disappointed in Larian Studios for making it sso difficult for users to add mods to their games.

Same problem here. And when I tried to lockpick the locked chest just off the ravaged beach the game crashed.

Honestly, Larian's epic fail is catastrophic to gameplay.....even using their "approved" mods crashes the game.....wish I could have been a fly on the wall to understand why Larian decided to do something so effing stupid..... it's like someone asked in a meeting "how do we completely destroy any goodwill we have as a game studio" and the guy who usually sleeps through these meetings replied "challenge accepted".

No one to blame but yourselves. You should have cleaned house before updating.

Is it still bad now or was that a beta where you played with the mod manager? I'm really looking forward to the mods on the console

I did a complete re-install of the game and the BG3 Mod Manager. Don't forget to start the game once before starting the BG3 Mod Manager ( the third party one ) for the first time.

It actually works pretty well if you clean your mods before updating, never used unsupported mods, or did the "Verify Integrity of Game Files" trick on steam.

The console modding will probably be hassle free
