The game takes pride in its amount of care for the less popular options, for content that might be seen only by a handful of players. It sounds very catchy, yet it is horrendously implemented on a technical level and I would rather not have variety that is broken at its core.

Most recent example, in my TDU run I came to the Last Light Inn after fighting off the shadows with the Harper squad. Jaheira realises I am a True Soul, as usual, yet in this run I decide to attack on the spot since my cover was unveiled and I managed to break the vines. I kill every Harper except two near the ferry, then I speak with dead Marcus and visit the graveyard for the hidden shield. I come back and suddenly the remaining Harpers are marked as friendly as if I haven't murdered the entire Inn. Additionally, the corpses of dead Harpers become marked 'friendly' instead of 'hostile'. I reach Isobel's chamber and she is also 'friendly' yet the generic dialogue starts about being in a restricted area. I fail a very hard check for the dialogue option that makes at least some tad bit of sense and get teleported to the bridge. I reach Isobel a second time and pass the check this time, then I say she must follow me, since I knew from the dead Marcus she is important to Ketheric. She becomes hostile, speaks as if Jaheira is still alive (she is dead, killed by my TDU just 10 minutes ago) and prepares to fight. The cutscene ends, she is still 'friendly' and I talk with her again. A generic dialogue plays as if the Harpers are alive and I spoke with her a second time to ask some questions. At that point I can't justify this mess for myself anymore, the immersion is wrecked and I stop playing for the time being.

Is it cool that I can attack Harpers on the spot? Yes, it is. But the narrative and technical implementation of that scenario makes me wish it was not in the game at all, so I could save my time and play a fleshed out route. I mean this example (I have others, many others...) as a general feedback for Larian's future projects. Sometimes less is more, and better.
