Got one post solved by spending a day on problem...however, not it is installed. I sure hate to gripe! (You can problems with anything in life,) but, now that the game is running, and Patch 1.45 installed, I cannot begin to give the problems with game! Sound works fine for a awhile, then just goes..., then comes back, game hangs, game crashes for no reason at all, sometimes the game just pauses..., if you save a game, it (sometimes) goes black and sits there for a long time, then (maybe) returns, maybe; cannot enter portals without clicking many, many times; cannot pick up items without clicking many, many times on item; on and on. It is sure not a pleasure to play! Most of the solutions are, get drivers! Software manufactures always say this when there is a problem with their product, always! Get drivers! No matter that everything else works fine, and you play a lot of game, with no problems. All at once, to solve their problem (only), get drivers! Would it not make more sense to make sure their drivers work with their game, than make you get drivers? Also, believe me, get drivers...this does no good. It is just a resonse since, and I agree, that software manfs. cannot in any way provide a solution for everything...but, it would make things so much better if they made sure their game ran, instead of 'buy this game and if it does not run' do this, get drivers, etc...anyway thanks. No big deal. As the old saying, just don't play!

I agree largely on what you posted Jocco, this game is really not any fun in playing, and yes the best thing for now is not to play until they release a patch and a profuse apology. I had no problems with Divine Divinity, but with this one, its just seeming like a quick job, maybe to fund their next project Divinity II...

Crashes and lockups can be cause by outdated drivers, and it is usually a good idea to suggest / check the simplest and more common problem sources first. However, for the problems entering portals or picking up items, that sounds like something with the game itself. Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game, and did you do so when installing it? Have to tried hitting the alt key when picking up items?

Pls understand, I do not believe in just griping about everything! But, to put things in perspective, this is not a 'cheap' game, and RPG games are supposed to be fun! This game is pure torture! The hero is not on even a level par with the monsters...so, you must save game every couple of moments...or be prepared to 'start over'. I love RPG games for what they are, just fun to do! (And for this old codger, you can spend a lot of time, just having fun.) The graphics are extremely poor, the characters graphics are poor, you must control two characters with mana, health, etc., and you just can'd to this for each in the middle of battle, so one dies, game over! Stamina is non-existant, so you walk for a foot or so, run out of steam and have to stop! But, enough griping, no, I paid a lot and my error. Will not play it. One more thing I do not understand...the team says, in their manual, 'we did not just want to make another 'Divinity' so made a completely new game'. Why! Is this not a sequel to Devine Divinity, an outstanding game!!!!

Been there, did that! Nothing makes the game run smoothly...although it does load and play, I loose sound right in the middle of a battle, screen goes black, then comes back, enter a new area, all is black for awhile, until it gets settled, very bad graphics, etc...but, I really appreciate your replying to my problem. My solution, just do not play...thnks.....

Sorry to hear of your bad fortune with this game Jocco, i hadnt had THAT much trouble with the game as you apparantly have had.. This game has managed to make the whole gameplay uncertain for me, everything is soo vague.. And later you find out, much later, you did do actually do the right thing (or not), though i did not feel any convincement. The Battlefields was a nice idea, though i did have alot of question during gameplay that the manual could just not answer.. Ofcourse i found out through trial and error. Nothing is more worse to me than having distrust in makers of the game during gameplay, doing something and thinking: "Did they actually think of this?" ... And then you find out that they just made it as linear as possible.. Example=> The white rum quest that the user decides not to do, though SAMUEL the arch demon does concratulate you on it!!! VERY deflating indeed. I simply cant stress how much of a bad job that is, it really is worrying how little effort has gone into things in this game...

Will make this my last comment, and thanks to all that responded to my problems with game. As I said, would not have purchased if I had known it was so very different from Divine Divinity (an excellent RPG game!). Why make a sequal to a game and make it totally different...just name it a new game! So for me, this game is not fun...it is frustrating (which I do not want in a game). So, it is my problem, not the programmers. As said, so many problems (although now small ones), it is just not work it. Thanks to all.....
