I searched for posts on this, but eitehr I couldn't figure the right word(s) to search for, or there are no posts on this...

In Act 2 battlefield, Elkar gave me a quest, then on one of my trips back, he's dissapeared. He shows up as a green + on the mini-map, but I can't see him. I suspect he is "in" the little shack there, somehow, and thus I can't see him to talk to him and finish my quest.

Does anyone know a way to flush a hidden NPC out of hiding? I've tried making sure there are no movable objects in the way that might make him dissapear - nothing left anywhere around the area where he's supposed to be...

Thanks in advance...

A couple other people have run into this problem. One had him just show up normally some time later when entering the BF, but I don't recall anyone finding a way to force him out.

This happened to me twice with two different imp quest-givers:
the farmer whose wife is captured in the mushroon forest, and taxelhix at the end of act 2. In both cases, the mini-map showed a green * for the imp, but no imp was there.

Both times, I tried leaving the area and returning, several times, plus going to battlefields and back, and saving/reloading. After trying all that a few times, I returned to the area to find the imp was now present again. I'm not sure what exactly I did to fix it, but those are the 3 things I was doing.

Good luck!
