Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks who sell empty bottle for makeing potions

i have benn playing for a couple of day and it ocured to me that none of the merchants sell empty bottle to make potions like in divine divinity so how do i get them or how do i go about concockting a potion any help would be great thanks

The potion making system is a bit different from that in Divine Divinity.
You don't need empty bottles (or mushrooms), you just need alchemy plants.
Right click on the alchemy plants to make a menu appear.

so what skill or skills do i need to be able to make potions and then will i need to use a skill point to get the ability to make them

You need the Alchemy Extract skill to make potions, and you will need to invest skill points (level 4 allows you to make permanent potions if you have holy water). Check out the link Desdemona posted for details.

thank you both and i still see the mushrooms on the ground so you cant do anything with them then well i will not look for some one to sell me a empty bottle anymore have a nice day jim

Actually I've found am empty potion bottle in the spider forest in act 2 north of the imp chieftains hut, hidden among spider webs along a small rocky area. it appears to be worthless tho.
