Patch V 1.45 for ENGLISH version released---->05/26/04 11:19 AM

2 MONTHS and no Patch for the screewed up Lockpick Skill...Are you Larians satisfied with this Version of the game and let the game in this shape?? just because the Lockpick skill is not so neccessary!

i think not

just repatch the lockpick skill (2 or 3 minor bugs more) and we will have a flawless game and we will remember it Flawless!! but with this situation i will remember this beautiful game as the game in which i cant use the lockpick skill!..pleeease dont do this to us...give us a flawless game...2 or 3 bugs is really not so important but Being not able to use a skill is a serious Bug!

Lynn said in a different topic they were working on a couple other issues; Lockpick is likely on the list as well.

Where is the list of updates that Larian is working on? I have shelved the game myself until Lockpick and the Battleground Quests bugs are sorted out.

First of all let me say that my husband and I have immensely enjoyed playing Divine Divinity and that we thought the world of Larian, because they were able to produce a game that needed no patching at all. On the strength of our DD-experience we bought Beyond Divinity, expecting a continuation of the wonderful quality seen in DD. How sad that that is not the case.

The bugs in this game are very sad and to me very frustrating. After having to resort to a walkthrough in order to get past the incredibly - and unnecessarily - linear first act, I have now played 3/4 through the third act three times, not because I particularly enjoy it, but rather because I thought there might be a way work my way around one bug or another. And I am becoming increasingly frustrated. The battlefield as we all know is very buggy, but I find the main game of act three just as buggy. In my latest foray into act three, I have still not been able to enter the storehouse, and Raven has completely diappeared - as has the king of the earth elementals. Quests are sometimes recorded in the quest log, but sometimes they are not (and, yes I did check the quest filter, they certainly are not there).

Oh, and yes I was also looking forward to using my lockpick ability only to find that no matter how many skill points I put into it, it doesn't work.

I feel that these and the many other bugs in this game should really have been picked up before the release and it is very sad that Larian has followed suit with so many other games publishers and released a game that was less than perfect.

I think I might now shelf this game until the next patch has been released (hopefully soon) and hope that this patch will finally address all the issues this game still has.

Oooohh! So sad that my first post is a less than enthusiastic one!

Cheers,
Magica

Storehouse => The key is a bit norht, in the garden with the green crystals, http://www.kiya1.de/beyond/act3screens/Act3key0.jpg
near the middle west bench, then do this:

use ALT to find the door and approach it, click on it.

Raven will be at the pink crystal as soon as you have reported your info from the Black Imp Xanaxil to the cursed man.

The King is west of a large boulder.

please, look at number 5 in Hellfighter's map. 6 is the teleporter then. If you find and kill the king, don't walk to the teleporter, scroll a bit north and click on it (I had to do it 2x), so you force your chars to reach it.

Not recorded quests => yes, this is what I would really like to have fixed: the missing Raanaar quests. You get the reward (item acquired) and rep in some cases, but not the XP.

And welcome to the forum , in spite of your frustration, I still hope, you enjoy the game a bit.

Hi Kiya,

Thank you for your warm welcome and your help. I have the key to the storeroom, but I have never been able to get inside - I'll try your hint.

I honestly can't remember if I went back to the cursed man this time round, but I'll try it and see what happens.

As for the earth elemental king, I have uncovered the entire area, but no king. Maybe I'll have to find an earlier savegame (should have plenty of them - lol).

I am sorry, if I sounded like I don't enjoy the game. I do, but I guess I don't really having to go back over the same thing (with the same character). It sometimes gets frustrating. But on the other hand, you will find me playing it till late - telling my husband that I will be up in a minute, because I just have to do this one more thing - lol! And I do want to find out the rest of the story!

Please, don't apologise - I can understand frustration fully. Act 3 is a bit tricky - as... well, I think it has the most bugs of all acts.

Though your elemental king should be there - another question: check your inventory, maybe you've got the teleporter gem already? Looks like a piece of cake (one cut out).

He is the only green cross on the map and turns hostile after you spoke to him. Take care => use the friendly speech option, as I don't know if the hanging cut scene is solved.
