My best friend has had the following sequence happen to her twice in a row:

1. SH's act 1 romance scene triggers before the party.
2. In act 2, she is not able to give SH the night orchid.
3. In act 3, despite all other romance flags being intact, the romance scene won't trigger.

Anyone have any ideas for fixing this? No mods act, ftr.

yes, that annoys me too, how many times do you have to kiss this woman to get one night with her, terrible, this woman wouldn't be for me.

This might not help, but there was an old bug that could prevent sharty’s romance scene in act 3 from triggering. You’d have a conversation in the morning as if it had, but you wouldn’t see it.

The solution to that was to go back to a save before that night, kill her, resurrect her and rest.

I don’t know about not being able to give her the orchid. I don’t think it’s required for the romance though.

Might be worth a shot?

1. It's supposed to trigger before the party. It used to trigger after the party only in the early access builds.

2. You need to have talked about the night orchids in Act 1 to be able to give them to her as a gift in Act 2.

3. Act 3 romance won't trigger without giving her night orchids in Act 2.

It sounds like you might be following an old guide, which caused you to miss some triggers. All of the romances were changed post-EA and in the patches since.

Sh triggering first romance scene before the party is not a bug I beleive. It is triggered from a conversation option that you missed an opurtunity to know eachoter a little better (something along those lines), also since this is a longrest scene it means you have either missed some triggers for other longrest scenes or have been generous with your longrests. Also means that you have hight enough aproval rating to trigger it (as SH is a tad hard to get compared to some other romace options). Never experienced that I can't give her the flower, but then again I always chose the line to talk about it in act 1. Without knowing if you went the light or dark route with SH, it is hard to tell what triggers you missed to not get the scene in act 3. For the dark route I think you have to do the House of grief part first (not 100% sure though, as I have only done that once). For the light route it can take some longrests as there are some other scenes "in que" before that one.
