Even if only certain mods can be approved,I would assume more then 177 of them already exist and should have long since been approved now.
Thats a very good point and one that has been raised quite a few times without an answer. I don’t think the mods know either but it is sure that irs not sustainable businesswise and this is the reason why Larian can’t put much resource behind it not even a company as microsoft can.
So larian needs to figure out somsthing znd fast because relation with consoleusers is getting worse by day

Hopefully, once we get these big updates out of the way, more focus can be
put on mod support and providing a better process for all to join, but all we
can do is be patient and see!!

Well I have to say as a community we have been very patient to be honest.

I will sum it up hiw those mod batches feel: we get thrown some mods that most of the community didn’t demand and we have to be happy because alternatively they deny everything to us. This is not a good feeling, if Larian promises us something nomatter free or charged we expect high quality! Its same as I gift you a present, you expect to be in premium form and not broken or am I wrong here?

Nestor, mod support has only been out for a short time, and console mods even shorter., (October 1st for consoles).
Not to mention the pause with the hotfix, as well as Larian splitting themselves to also work on Patch 8.

I understand, and agree that communication needs to be better, but we also have to give them time to do
that because it won't happen right away.

I imagine that crossplay requires a uniform set of installed mods on all the platforms that play together.
So yes, I think you should turn up the engine to get consoles up to date with PC mods once you get this shipped. Otherwise it will just create more frustration.

On the other hand, if they now also have to test every mod for crossplay.... it might even get heavier.
Good luck, I hope it will turn out good.

Unfortunately, this will never be the case because console platforms have restrictions on what can and can't be used which is
decided by Sony and Microsoft, and outside Larians control.

But here is to hoping that it gets better ASAP!

Honestly, if the modders themselves are getting a third the pushback the community gets just _asking_ about these things trying to work with whoever is handling this, the state of things might be as good as it gets.

Certain mods will never be on console that’s just a reality. But you do raise a valid point about versions of mods. They can’t expect people to go digging for a version of a mod from 3 updates ago just to play with their friends on console.

It sounds like Larian is just seeing themselves up for failure.. again.

Obviously the portability rate isn't going to be 100%. I don't think anybody has expectations as unreasonable as all that.

Honestly, with this patch 8 business now, I'm just hoping that we aren't looking at more of the same til sometime next year. Big part of why I finally bought the game was they were gonna do mods. At the time, I presumed that it would at least be comparable to fallout mods on a last gen console.

Same here, I only bought the game because Larian announced there'd be mods, even got the deluxe edition which was the first sign of trouble with relying on Larian.

I'm 80% convinced now that the only reason they mentioned console mods was to drive up sales and have never been serious about it, which is why we never get the mods we want but hey, we get hairstyles, face models and a bunch of dice. Just what no one wants.

We all got played. Never purchasing a Larian product ever again.

Either it's actually going to start getting a whole lot better pdq, or we got lied to. Hopefully not, tired of getting ripped off by game companies.

To repeat myself ad nauseam:If they were gonna do it this poorly they may as well have not done it at all.

This is by far one of the absolute worst implementations I've ever seen, and even the PlayStation version of Skyrim is better then this.

I agree that nothing worth doing, is worth doing this poorly.
However, I don't believe there's any sort of malicious intent behind it, I genuinely think they just bit off more than they can chew.
