Hi,

I've wanted to ask about this for a few months now. But I am scared it's a really stupid question and people would make fun of me. However, if I don't ask, it's not going to happen.

I am probably the only person in this world who cares about the Dutch/Flemish language. And I really wish I saw it more in games. Therefore I would like to translate the UI and subtitle BG3 in Dutch. I know there are item descriptions and books/scrolls as well. But I want to do one thing at a time. As it is a massive game. But let's be honest, I am doing this mainly for myself, so I am not on a time crunch.

I just don't know how to do this. Don't know how to get all the text out of the game, and I don't know how to put my translations in it. I never modded anything before.

If anyone, could point me in the right direction, that would be great.

Thanks a lot!
Eunie

If you only wanna do a full translation is more easy doing that with out the tk, translation is a big lsx file, you can edit that one with notepad++ or vscode and make a mod with the language folder you would wann to replace.
You would need multitool to search for the loca file and extrat that one, lslib to convert the file to lsx so you can edit it.
Check the discord if you need more info or help if you wanna do it with or with out the tk, theres channels for both modding methods.

Hi,
Thank you so much! This weekend I have MCM Birmingham to go to but the weekend after, I am looking into this. I am part of the discord since yesterday, and it seems super active, so I will probably bother people there when I am stuck.
Or when I second-guess myself.
