Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Character now called Player

I read about this problem almost a year ago. I’m on Xbox and all of a sudden my character is just called player. I’ve tried loading all my saved games at least in this round. I haven’t tried the other play through and see if it’s fixed for them. I’ve tried restarting the console reconnecting all the stuff and still seems to be not working.

Is your console connected to the xbox and larian networks while you play? I've had my internet go out recently, and this happened to me when I played while offline.

Yeah it appears the Xbox is definitely online. Is there a separate way to check code injection to Larian?

Yours is called Player? Curious .. mine's called Tav.

Actually when I go to the level up screen it says Tav also. I filed a bug report but no response yet
