Hello.
I just installed the game because it has very good reviews and scores. I started new game and began creating new character and something odd happened. I created male half-orc barbarian and there are female voice lines as an option for my barbarian. The game is out like 2 years and there are such bugs from the beggining... I am sure the story will be good but little things like that inadequacy of female voice on male half-orc barbarian make me wince and question if this game is truly polished. Just wanted to point that out.

All the character creation choices such as body type, gender and voice over are independed from each other and not automatically linked to match, are you very sure you didn't forget to double check so the voice lines matches your gender and body type?

One tip I hope is helpful in the event of an eggregious bug resurfaced is to try and toggle into body type 2 to see if it fixes it.

no thats not a bug... its called choice

Big orc barbarian with a female voice is not a choice its absurd. Developers of games like Baldurs Gate 1 knew that in 1998... For me it makes game feel unpolished and strange.

Why though? You can just choose to not use that feature. It's just more possibilities to choose from, if you don't like it, don't use it

If undead can project a voice without vocal chords it's not that absurd that a half-orc could have a variety of tones to their voice. There is literally a belt of gender transformation in the original Baldur's Gate.

Honestly man ...
If your complaint is that there are not enough voices to flesh out half characters ... im 100% with you there ... no orc, dragonborn, dwarf, or badass supermasculine Barbarian ...

If your complaing is that one of voices you can pick dont fits your taste ... then just dont pick it and move on.

I've had a similar bug, where during dialogue scenes it stops to ask me what I want my character to say; and these options frequently include things my character would never say. It makes the game look so unpolished that I have to choose whether to be nice to someone or kill them

Poor sarcasm attempt. Dialogue options are something totally different than not plausible character creation. Yes even in fantasy setting.

Ok guys I get you. The female voicelines for male characters are totally optional and if I dont like it I can just skip it which I did but it felt like a bug so I did post about it. It just felt wrong.
Well if male half-orc can have sweet female voice why my halfling cant be 2 meters tall? :P
