Upcasting Shadow blade to 3d8 or 4d8, then applying a temporary buff such as a poison, elemental weapon, weapon dipping, etc -- then having the buff be removed (by any means) is reverting the upcasted shadow blade to 2d8.

I'm not trying to be dramatic (maybe a little) but this is hindering like 3 different builds I want to play.

I'm playing with mods but loaded a file without and the issue still happens. Has this already been addressed / being worked on?

Just commenting to keep this current, experiencing the same bug. Any buff removed from the shadow blade reverts it to the non-upcast version of the shadow blade. So far I've seen it happen with the following effects:

- Kagha's amulet
- Elemental Weapon (spell)
- Magic weapon (spell)

Well... at least you cannot drop it on the ground or hand it back and forth between characters. Which you *can* do with the Shadowblade version from Arabella's ring (I've made my own thread about that issue).

Also: I did use the upcast spell-version before switching to the ring's and I noticed that the damage glitch would happen (for *some* reason) even if I didn't apply any coatings, dips, etc. I wasn't able to find out what exactly caused the bug to fire - I did check to see if it was Arcane Synergy items as these could be viewed as applying a buff/condition to the blade, but that wasn't it.
