Have you noticed that fighting with a two-handed axe is performed with one hand as an animation?
This is also the case with the two-handed hammer.
Only with the two-handed sword is the sword swung with both hands.
It is interesting that a battle axe or a battle hammer, when wielded with two hands, is also swung with both arms. With the two-handed axe/hammer, however, it stands like a one-handed weapon.
I would consider it a mistake that the two-handed axe and two-handed hammer are only wielded with one hand and of course it doesn't look really powerful then.
