Is there no way to kill the Nightsong without Shadowheart?

And if not, why not? You'd think Shar still wants to get back at Ketheric Thorm even if Shadowheart is deader than dead.

Never done it myself, but IIRC I've seen videos of people killing the Nightsong without Shadowheart.

Shar kind of likes what you're doing, so she allows you to wield the necessary weapon, thats usually wielded by Shadowheart, too.

I can't kill her. Did I need to get Shar's Blessing in her Shrine?

Do you maybe have a link to a playthrough where this is the case?

I haven't found any way to kill her permanently.

I'm really annoyed by this one, I think I'm going to give up on my first honor mode run, because my goal was for this to be a critical moment for Lae'zel, killing Aylin. Apparently it's not possible. I rolled with the things I couldn't do so far, but this one just undermines too much of my planned arc. This sucks.

I'm disappointed by this turn of events. It feels stupid to me that other characters are not given a chance to kill Aylin, normally Larian doesn't railroad decisions like this.

As long as you have Spear of Night with you, you should be able to kill her just fine without Shadowheart, but whether you can kill her without the weapon, maybe that's why you can't kill her permanently?

No. From my own experience and everything I can find online, you cannot kill her without Shadowheart. If there is a way, it's not as simple as bringing the Spear Of Night. I tried. Repeatedly. Including tricks to try to prevent healing.

I kinda forgot that the option of being a cleric of Shar is removed too, so I bet if there is any videos portraying players on killing her without Shadowheart probably originates from early access version of the game.

think the main reason why cleric of shar as an option got removed and why she cant be killed without Shadowheart then is probably because its central to the game plot and to avoid breaking apart the permutations the game runs on, like you'd have to add more dialogues under certain conditions, maybe it explaisn why players chosen to be cleric of sharran and engages with Shadowheart had unique dialogues removed too.

Gosh so much of the game needed a lot longer time in the oven to get baked properly, game sure got released too early and certain stuff removed to avoid overwhelming the beta testing process.

There is another person with a quest to get her if Shadow heart is dead... He isn't a party member or even a nice guy but it's content only truely evil shits will ever see
