Subject: Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Idea Request: Barbarian Rage Bonus for All Melee Attacks (Including Unarmed)

Dear Baldur's Gate 3 Modding Community,
I am a dedicated player of Baldur's Gate 3 and am very excited by the possibilities that modding brings to this incredible game. I'm reaching out to the talented mod developers here with an idea for a quality-of-life and balance mod that I believe would significantly enhance the Barbarian class, particularly for players interested in unarmed combat or specific multiclass synergies.

My Mod Idea: "Unarmed Rage"
Core Concept:
This mod aims to modify the Barbarian's "Rage" feature so that its damage bonus applies to all melee attacks, not just those made with melee weapons. This would specifically include unarmed strikes.

Detailed Description:
Currently, the Barbarian's Rage ability states: "When you make a melee weapon attack using Strength, you gain a +2 bonus to the damage roll. This bonus increases as you level." The core of this request is to change the trigger for this damage bonus from "melee weapon attack" to simply "melee attack."

This would have the following effects:
* Unarmed Barbarians: A pure Barbarian who chooses to fight unarmed (perhaps taking the Tavern Brawler feat) would benefit from their Rage damage bonus.
* Barbarian/Monk Multiclass Synergy: This is where the true potential for exciting new builds lies. A multiclass character with Barbarian levels and Monk levels could leverage the Barbarian's Rage damage bonus on their powerful unarmed Monk attacks.
* Consistency: It feels thematically appropriate for a raging barbarian to infuse all their physical attacks with their fury, whether they're wielding an axe or striking with their bare hands.

Why I Believe This Mod Would Be Valuable:
* Build Diversity: It would open up more viable and flavorful build options for Barbarians, especially those focused on unarmed combat.
* Logical Progression: It aligns with the idea of a character's raw strength and fury empowering their physical strikes, regardless of whether a weapon is involved.
* Enhances Existing Mechanics: It makes the existing "unarmed" combat style more appealing and competitive for Barbarians without significantly altering the core balance of the game, especially given the existing limitations and requirements of Rage itself.

Considerations:
I understand that balance is crucial. The intention is not to make pure Monks overpowered by simply giving them a free Rage damage bonus. The mod should ideally still require at least one level in Barbarian for the Rage mechanics to apply, ensuring that the unique characteristics and limitations of Rage (like not being able to cast or concentrate on spells) are still respected. This would mean that only characters who have committed to the Barbarian class would gain this benefit.
I'm eager to provide any further detail, design concepts, or testing assistance if a modder is interested in tackling this project. I truly believe this small but impactful change would be greatly appreciated by the Baldur's Gate 3 community.
Thank you for your time and for considering this idea!
Sincerely,
RyuKag3

P.S.
Im really hoping something like this gets enough attention that it makes it to consoles as well.

Rage already applies its bonus damage to unarmed.

I know the tooltip states "Weapon" but in practice it literally does work.

The only thing that doesn't work, is Reckless Attack. Which does indeed require a weapon to function. Though there's a mod for it called Reckless Punching that provides partial compatibility (The interrupt trigger functions. The pointless hotbar action does not)
