I knew that I had to mix salt, sulphur and coal to make explosives and to blow up the Forge from the forum. Is there anything in game that helps me figure it out? (Because it's certainly not something that's obvious to me. ) And where do I find this?

Also about the Seeing Stone, I got the info about the mirror here as well. And lateron I noticed that I had a book in my inventory telling me how to destroy it.
In the first game I picked up every book written in the Ranaar language, so I suppose it's one of those and I must have picked it up sometime during the first three Acts. (I only read those in the last act and then decorated the floor with them. ) And does anybody know where I got the book from? I did not find it again the second time through.

There's a book in act 1 that describes how to make gunpowder (ie mix coal, salt and sulphur). I believe (not a 100% sure though) it was in room 27 on this map.
For the book about the seeing stone, I've seen it in a3 a couple of times (there's not just one book); I believe one of them was in the raanaar library...

Ok, thanks. I guess I must have thought "oh no, not another cooking receipe" or something like that - and passed it without really reading.

And one more thing: there's a locked chest in the prison-part of the citadel. I've heard it contains a battlefield-key (which doesn't open any dungeons but allows you to go there). Where is the key for this chest?

If you mean the chest in the starting cell block, the key is in the left spider cell in the arena, in the haystack. The chest contains a level 1 BF key, which does open the first dungeon.

It does unlock a dungeon? Oh, nice. When I next play, I'll definitely go visit the first dungeon a lot earlier then.

Thanks for the pic, Kiya. Now I know why I didn't really read it, I guess: When I saw the brackets, I probably thought it was another bla-bla-thingie and didn't really look through it properly. Or maybe I just overlooked it. - As books don't show up with the Alt-key, it's sometimes hard to see them. smirk

Lira - I don't know where you read the info "does not open..." these "joker BF keys" (as I call them) => do not open an ADDITIONAL level.

Now, imagine, you would find the real BF key first and then the 2nd one. For whatever reason you return to your starting level and find this joker key => it opens the 2nd lvl then (the same, the highest, you have achieved). Imagine, you find the 3rd key in Sammy's lair and return: then this joker key would give you the info => 3rd level is unlocked.

I thought about "chameleon BF key" first, but this word is more difficult to write

I guess I just must have misread something then.

Hope, not from me - I tend to shortcut in a misunderstanding way sometimes

The interesting thing is the joker BF key in Act 3 (wine chest) => Barnie tried it out once and that thing did nothing in his description (he had not taken one teeny key from Act 1 on) ... , whereas in my game, it showed the level I already had, because I didn't think about checking these jokers - but I didn't want to restart and deprive myself of BF traders from Act 1-2 and try to survive the Earth Elementals there.
