As a part of the main quest - I tried to get in the thieves guild. So I passed the 1st test, but I didn't want to invest my skill point in lockpicking - So I went for the Rivertown sewers for a little break. In there I found the entrance to the place where Zandalor was located - although my friend said it's impossible to find him if u haven't completed the thieves guild test. So I freed Zan, and now I have only the elven member to go - but I took a break from the main quest in order to finish all of my quests. The thieves guild test is still open - and I don't know if I should complete it. I mean - I saved 1 skill point so I could invest it instantly in whatever I want - But I don't know if the XP I'll get from doing this quest would really help me. I'm in level 32/3 by now, so 20k XP won't matter me that much. But if it's more than that... How much XP do I get from finishing this quest (and the following quests till Zan)?

I don't know the XP for the thieves quest, but you will miss subquests in there - and won't be able to fulfill summoner Corinna's request.

I was lvl 39/40 when I started the blessing ritual (this gives 5 levels more then) and finished the total game at 49/50.

I'll check in my save and then edit.

Edit: values are correct - in some games I was 40, in the last 39. Same for the end levels.

My game strategy:
1.Kill zombie Jake in Aleroth 2x (gives a lot of XP)
2.Solve Aleroth
3.Clear the whole of Rivertown first, as these enemies are lower than in Dark Forest (game balance allows little/no XP if you are too high).
4.Solve all quests except Stormfist Castle
5.Solve all possible quests in Verdistis
6.Go to the Dark Forest and clear/solve all possible quests
7. Go to Stormfist
8. Council Hall and gathering members => why this order? I don't have to miss my pyramids much, if I do 7+8 close together
9.use the wishing well very late in the game, and after you have just leveled up, so you get an additional level
10. Blessing ritual => result are 39/40 (in my last game I was too lazy to clear out the Stormfist dungeons completely)

Thx for the help - But who the hell is zombie Jake?!
I will solve the Thieves Guild quest for the fun of it

It's a zombie you can find in two different locations: Spoiler : once by putting the flowers of his wife's grave on his and once in a cellar of an abandoned house. Killing him gives tons of exp - he's rather hard to kill, though.

Oh, I killed him before I went into the catacombs. I did all peaceful quests on ground level - unlocked the statues (was lvl 2) - then I chucked the flowers from grave 1 to 2 => Jake came.

I kept distance and fired meteorstrike - ran, fired, ran, fired => exitus.
Then I went into his house => into the cellar, was a bit trickier, as running away is not easy in that small dungeon => exitus again.

And I think, I was, level 4 upon clearing the catacombs then.

If you have killed him in the pauper graveyard (poor quarters) => he won't be in Aleroth anymore. If not => you can kill him afterwards a 3rd time

Actually, I liked killing him ...

Hmmm - Is he in Aleroth (on your 1st example)?
And what grave are you talking about?

Is he the zombie that you kill in the quest to save the lady from the graveyard?

Yes, he is indeed the zombie you save the lady from.

But you can kill him twice before in Aleroth: in the upper right corner there are a few graves. Move the flowers from one grave to the other and you'll get your zombie.
