Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Minimap Being All Cyan

Hi all,



Can anyone suggest a fix for a problem I have experienced. (and it happens a lot).

When I am in the Forest area, sometimes when i portal in (from my store area near ars magicana), the minimap turns all cyan. Now the thing is, I can see the monsters, (red X's) on the minimap, but the background scenery is not there. However if i protal forwards and backwards a few times, (i.e. force a reload) then it clears itself. Sometimes, only a reboot will work.


Tech Specs :

DD Patch level 1.32 (Full Install)
Windows XP
Dell latitude P850 / 256M / Ati mobility 8Mb
Direct3D Mode

Also I have noticed a slowdown on level loads. (i mean the time taken to load a level)


Can anyone suggest anything ?

Hi andrew,

Is the color depth of your desktop set to 16 bit? If not, please change this, that can solve your problem.

Its currently set to 32Bit. Would you suggest knocking this setting down to 16 bit ?

Your problem will be solved if you put the color depth to 16 bit.
