Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Bugs & Technical Problems Xbox Series X Version Not Working! Help!

So I had purchased DOS2 well before it got optimized for the xbox series x and have played it multiple times on my console. However, with this new update, I am unable to even start playing the game. I have tried power cycling my console, restarting it, deleting the game and reinstalling it, and even making a brand new profile to play the game on. However, nothing has been working. The game either kicks me out entirely before it even loads the main screen. Or it gets past the initial loading phase and then gets stuck on the main screen without displaying any menu. Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

This is the digital version of the game as well if that helps

I'm having the same issue! I've just heard from another player that to play the game you have to be invited by someone who has access to the game. Not sure if that means that someone has to be on the previous generation or not.

Me and my friend both just bought the game on series s and are having the same issue

I had Xbox support send a email to larian Studios so hopefully we can see a fix to this I'm sorry

This seems to be an ongoing issue for multiple ppl.
I bought the game digitally from the Xbox store, installed it, and every time I start it I get as far as what I assume would be the menu screen, but alas no menu or options at all. Just a pretty graphic and some nice music. Does not respond to any input at all.
Tried all the things. Restarting game, restarting console, deleting save file (as if it had any saves), uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times.

Obviously this is an issue Larian needs to address.
