I had an idea about using AI in the development of games. Players, myself included, always want MORE options for our characters. Body types, armor types, faces, hair etc.
When one creates an armor in a game models and textures have to be made for each body type available to the player.
What if an AI was made that could make those models and textures given two or three reference points? So real artist(s) would make key models and textures then AI would fill in the gaps for more body types. This way making one suit of armor or set of clothes wouldn’t require an artist to make half a dozen or more models and textures for each armor. I was thinking such an AI might be used across multiple games, a development tool more than attached to a specific game. Someone else probably already thought of this, but in case no one did I suggest it here.
