Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Moving PCs

Hi,

Have not yet finished this *great* game, but I am moving my data to a new PC I just bought. Can anyone tell me what files I need to save in order to re-install the game on my new system and still have all my old savegames?

I have copied "C:\Program Files\Divine Divinity\Run\savegames". Is that all I need or is there more?

Hmm, maybe back up individual saves you want too? I think that should be enough, not sure entirely though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> I would back up one or 2 saves.

I just backed up my favorite saves onto a winzip, not the whole file though.

Thanks for your reply. Aren't all the saves that I want in that directory though? I copied the entire savegames directory. Or are you referring to something outside of that directory?

It is sufficient to keep the savegame folder, Scaryogre. If you want to install and play Div again, you can simply create a savegame folder and copy the content into it. Or play, save and then you have the folder - copy your saves into it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
