Hi,guys. First of all, I have to say: Because no agency distribute the game here in China. it's soooo hard to get the game.Something laughable... Larian bought a software(starforce) to prevent the copy disk and the result is completely no chinese can play the game (I got the game from my friend in US).

Whatever , Beyond divinity is a nice game. Dungeon, town, tomb, church, demon, magic, potions, swords, thieves, poems with bards, a task book, NPCs...everythings' on their position. So decent. But not great as Divine Divinity.

I spend over 30 hours in my first journey and now I find the game just passed the half. Yes, this makes me exciting because I like the large map and dozens of quests, and I love to be the shadow sweeper:).But there's still something make me feel comfortlessness.
WHAT IS IT? I asked myself.

1.Graphic:
yesyes, the graphic appears very nice , the 3d modal is also smooth in default angle of view, but when zoom in , everything become so... fake ! 2D background and the 3d characters are not united smoothly. It's ugly. IMO,there's no necessary to open the zoom function to the players if the effect is not good.Especially in those kind of RPG games.Even the effect is very good, there's no help for us to perform the game. This is not a fps game.

2.Game:
In divine divinity,I am so free, I can go everywhere I want from the begining.I can do what I want in any time.I can join the guilds...Never worry about suddenly two beams of light(or someone) send me to a new place and can never back to the old place to finish my task... I long for back to Rivellon...

3.Music
Music is good. Some music is the same with divine divinity though I think it is beautiful. If you want me seem this game a extended cd for divine divinity, that is no problem. The problem is : an extended cd do not deserved 39.99 $.:)

4.Bugs:
I download the lastest patch, but sill lots of problem appears in the game. Hope the next patch can solve most of the problem.

There's no perfect thing in this world. So , I can tell myself I am satisfied with Beyond Divinity. I enjoy this game. Thanks Larian... But I expect DD 2 can bring me more fun. After all the game name is Divine Divinity 2.

AND, HEY Larian, never forget to distribute the game in China. thanx

edit: as far as i can tell, most of my game-playing students who are chinese are prone to play RPGs that's localised for chinese gamers. i have seen them playing a number of what i think would be HK/Taiwan made RPGs (eastern motifs) & also localised RPGs.

thing is: many shops don't sell originals, maybe because an original would cost so much as the price is currency conversion plus tax. that's exorbitant. as a result, many gamers have no idea how an original game looks like & they would exchange infos like cracking casually without knowing that it's illegal. i was like that until i learnt from the 'net that an original offers more than just the cd with 2 pieces of printed glossy paper & a plastic sleeve. & that 'original' costs a day's wage, which is affordable for everyone.

now if only games can be more affordable in my country & similar countries, maybe original games will be more attractive. after all, i don't see people skimping on mobile phone reloads or online game reloads. if it's affordable enough to be attractive, people would flock to it.

remember; asians have different perspective from americans or europeans, so u cannot lump them under the same train of thought.

anyway, good to see that larians remember asian gamers.

I live in Hong Kong; distribution is different here, and games ship fairly quickly. Playing them in their original English incarnation is always better, in any case.

And I don't speak Mandarin.

In China,Beyond Divinity will be published by echoicetech (a subsidiary
of aomeisoft),and the release date will be in Sep(I saw it on the magazine PLAY!)Of cource it will be a localized version, just like Divine Divinity.

BTW,Cantonnese is just a dialect,you couldn't WRITE something using
Cantonnese, even if you DO NOT speak mandarin, you must WRITE in mandarin, right?
