Hi, two more questions:

Is there a way to get the book for the summoner-woman without joining the thieves guild? (I want to try and do as little "evil" things as possible).

And where can I find "proof" that that tingalf guy (or something like that) is trading illegaly (for the merchantsguild quest)?

I killed/talked to the warehouse-guy in the sewers, and I talked to the soldier/captain at the left-upper corner of the market, and told him about all the nasty evil things that were going on, then he walked away.
I can't even find that tingalf anymore.

You either have to join the guild to get the book or cheat to get past the door. You also need to get in there to complete the holy item quest.

If Lt Robin has arrested Tingalf, you already found the proof. Now it sound like you just need to go report this to Trevor, the head of the merchant guild.
