Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Apparent bug

I just loaded my last save game, where I'm in the Commader Raph building jail cell. it loads fine and displays that room and the area near it.

As soon as I go up the stairs or use the pyramid to go back to the barracks, the screen still has the interface and the mini map, but the rest is black. I can highlight objects by moving the cursor around and the name comes up, but clicking any items does nothing. He can't leave the room he's in though he can wander in it slightly. I tried exiting and restarting, no help.

This is bad. Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: A while later, I went and tried again - and this time it worked. Weird.

maybe your Caps Lock was on? => Just a guess



This Shift Lock (or caps lock) has weird effects if you try to exit to another level. Am I wrong?

Wow, you're good. I noticed my capslock was on, and thought, "now how could that matter" and assumed it was not the problem...

It's in the tech FAQ of Divinity - <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> - I simply remembered other gamers describing your prob in a similar way and hoped the Tech FAQ text (the quote) was right. So, I did guess <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />
