Im sorry to say but for the last 10h i have done nothing else then to test this skills and they are bugged! So next time be fore claiming something are false you shall perhaps check or your self first.

Unlike you, I know exactly what I write about. I don't need to state absurd assertions. If you would have gone through the effort of reading other threads you would have already found more info and wouldn't be in this position to state unreasonable statements. These have been proven wrong thoroughly.
It is out of question that there are some bugs in the skills. But the majority works fine. Your assertion is definitely wrong in this form. So, please, add something profound and meaningful or spare us your superficial knowledge and untruth.

Just go ahead and pick up weapon that you want.
Sword is traditional and it has +1 at the beginning. And you will find nice swords later in the game.
Axes, more damage and more rarely you will find unique axes.
Spears have largest range and also very good gamage, but also rare.

The game was made with the priority to swords, so pick up swords. There is no holy axe or dragon spear.

Plus, shield expertise if you use one handed weapon.

invest in all damage and defence bonuses.
spiritual damage - nice + to dmg.
don't take those +lightning, +poison etc damage modifiers as they are too low.

Good thing is to take magic barrier - it gives +% to resistanses.

My advise is to visit traders as often as possible, as they sometimes sell spell books, so you acquire lots of new skills.

Loot and sell - this is tactic of most of RPGs and this one is not an exception. But beware of house owners they will decrease your reputation if they notice you stealing.

Every singe thing i have said is correct, if you just listen and check for your slef you might notice that. I read all the post on this board (even read all on the old board) but still i dont know what threads you are refering to, not germans i hope? (15 years ago i studied german but have never rely used it sence so my german are realy bad.)

I'm wondering if the skills do work in the German version and not in the English version?
