I've searched everywhere for a plain sword and quit playing this game for a long time because I think I sold it to a merchant before I knew what it was for. Is there any hope for me or do I have to start over? Maybe someone could tell me where it is and then I could try each of my save games until I find it? Once you get the quest for the Demon's Bane sword from the Raanaar rebels, you can talk to the smith in the north east of the temple complex, who will mark the location of the cave where you need to get the ore for him to make the sword.
Yeah,but what happens when the Raanaar Rebel Elder says that the Sword Needs the Gem inserted and to see the Temple Smith who should be able to do it--and the only response you getfrom the Smith when you have both the sword and the Gem is--" Nice doing business with you---I hope you understood what I said" I never was able to get the Smith to insert the Gem? is there someone elso who can? Who?
When you have the sword and gem you just bring them back to the rebel leader. They need to wait for the proper time (after you are gone to the next act) to perform a ritual to inset the gem.
