A few battlefield questions ....

I'm having some trouble with my first battlefield dungeon. Only 2 levels deep. Cleaned out all monsters and loot, but no "boss monster", and no quest items.

Do I have to do something special to open up another level in this dungeon, to get to a quest item?

How many levels do BF dungeons have they have, or is this random as well?

Does each BF dungeon contain a quest item, or are some of them "empties"?

Could one individual BF dungeon contain more than one quest item?

Each BF dungeon has 3 lvls. The third one is very small.
No you don't have to do something special to open, simply find another "fountain" to exit deeper. They are hidden in wall shadows sometimes.

As BF dungeons/quests are generated in a random way => yes, some end lvls are empty and others have 1 to more items/boss monsters.

There should be a third level. Unfortunately, sometimes the entrance can be placed so it is mostly or completely obscured by a wall or something. Try running around the second level again, and see if you can spot anything while moving your mouse cursor systematically around the screen. Check the automap, and see if it gives any indication (by flag or graphic) where the entrance to the third level is.

Sometimes you can see the blue tips of the fountain over the walls when you look at your main map. If you have uncovered the entire 2nd level then try looking at your main map for the blue tips of the fountain. I had to do that a few different times when I couldn't find the entrance to the next level. Happy hunting. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
