Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Recently re-installed it

I recently re installed the game, like yesterday after trying for three days to instal it without a Cd I finally succeded only catch is that I can only play the female mage, which isnt terrible for missing an entire installation CD <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> . Anyway before I get too far into the game and it becomes too late could you guys kindly tell me which skills are brokena nd which ones are useless and which bugs to avoid? Thanks alot.

I'd be more worried about all the other missing character models in the game, the one's you are gauranteed to meet.

True Shot and the damage portion of Crossbow Expertise are broke, as of the latest patch.
Elven Sight is much more effective than Ranger Sight. Survivor's Curse is more effective than the mage's Withering Curse, since it can not be resisted.

The Locus Inn - Skill System (individual paths, and a skill table for each class)

iZakaroN's SaveEditor (or from Kiya's site, with description) will let you redistribute skill points. Usually, though, saving before trying out a new skill is good enough to check if it works as expected and fits your play style.

As for bugs, don't toss a teleporter into the castle before getting an invitation and talk to the new duke, or you will break a required quest when you do eventually enter by invitation. I think pretty much everything else is either fixed or there are workarounds if you run into them.

The second install CD is all character data (the female mage rar file is on the play CD), so a manual install skipping it should not cause any problems other than not being able to play those characters.
