Been playing a Few hours Now and some things I would appreciate clarification on:
1.There is only a very small amount of Light Surrounding the Hero--Much like Diablo. Its extremely difficult for me to see anything thats not right in front of me. Is there any way to Increase the Range/Diameter of Light? In Diablu you could find items that added +increases to Light.
2.No way to set a Flag or Mark Locations--Locked Doors, chests, etc, etc, that you will need to go back to? Gads,I hope I don't have to REMEMBER all those Places.
3.My Vitality does not regenerate over time even when standing Still. Is this planned or do I have a *Bug*?
4.There is supposed to be a Shrine there in Aleroth but I never found it.
5.I cannot move around by clicking on the map like I did in BD--again,supposed to be this way or am I *Bugged*?
TIA

1: Elven sight changes this (I think, and I allso think there is items).
2: In the map in your diary you can place (and unplace) notes if you whant.
3: Clueless (eg leave this question for the experts... Something is wrong though, this never happend to me).
4: I think it's a bit north of Booma's... or Gooma's (anyway, the lizards) house.
5: Press shift and move the mouse to the corner of the screen in order to scout around.

Ubereil

PS I'm maybee not the most suitable person to answer these questions (check q 3 for example) but I hope I helped anyway. DS

1. You can invest in skills like Elven Sight to increase your vision.
2. Yes there is a way to mark locations, click on your diary, and then click on the automap button, and click on the flag and you can mark locations.
3. No you will not regenerate Vitality, there is however a skill you can invest into that will regenerate your hitpoints, Survivors Instinct.
4. The shrine is close to the lizards house, along the eastern wall if I remember correctly.
5. Nope, can't move just by clicking on the map <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

Tried the best that I could, have yet to get out of the first area myself lol

In the Graphics | Visual options, you can switch the Darkness setting to 50, and increase the gamma to see better underground or in the dark. The sight skills increase your range, but not the lighting.

Moving by clicking on the mini map was one of the things suggested in the forum that was changed or added in BD.

Well,Maybe Playing Beyond Divinity sometime Before I began Divine Divinity
has caused me a bit more confusion than I would have had without Playing BD First.
1. Weapons have a "Recuperation" number associated with them--i.e. 15 ,etc. I thought at first that this meant you would have to wait 15 (Seconds or whatever the 15 actually means) before Attacking again. But this does not seem to be the case. So--what does that Recuperation number really mean?

2.Skill Points: Yecchhh! I just discovered that I cannot Recover points by Selling back useless/unwanted Skills like I did in BD. This makes it a bit more imperative to choose your Skill Points Wisely. I Know I read some thread where people discussed the "most Usefull" Skills to invest in ( I recall one in particular ( I "Think" it may have been by Lego-not sure) which outlined useful Skills--in Her opinion- but I have spent sometime now Searching for that particular thread but cannot seem to locate it.

My Char is a Warrior.

3.No Battlefields in DD? hehe-sure does not seem to be since I have never found a BF Key.

4.I found a Good Bow,but I have only found One Arrow. I'm a bit confused because I read in a post that Arrows were not Needed--then in another post I had read a discussion on Using Splitting,Poisoned and Explosive Arrows. Which is True? Where do I get these Arrows?

5. Elven Sight: I had it at 1, then at 2 and now at 3 and it still does not seem to be doing anything for me that is discernable.

6. Healing Gems: Are there any other uses for those Gems besides healing the Two
Sick Guys in Aleroth? Just wondering if I should have kept them for another time?

7. I patched the game with V1.34 but when I look at my screen it says V1.0034a
Is this Correct? Or did the patch not install correctly?

Well,I must say that I am enjoying DD 100 Times more than I did BD.

1) Not seconds but the lever the numeber the faster it is.
2)Some skills rae broken, Including Crossbow expertise and the skill Ranger Sight is useless compared to Elven Signt.
3)Nope, no battlefields
4) In DD arrows are for decoration only, Explosive arrow and the such are Skills.
5) It works, Ranger sight is the one that is useless.
6) Nope
7)Its correct

Good for you

Skill pts => explained that in your other post a bit. It's far easier than in BD, but you can't swap pts after applying them as in BD.
As you can reach a far higher lvl in Div than in BD (I had lvl 50-52), you have more skill pts than in BD (1 for each lvl and 2 for each 5th lvl). If you choose to use magic, search traders for spell books, in order to not spend too many skill pts of your own. Equipment give you additional skill/spell lvls as well. Level cap is always 5, not higher.
BF => nope, no BF areas in Div
bow => you don't need arrows, you shoot at once, only the bow is required (and you have to meet the requirements to use it). The arrow you found is simply decoration.
healing gems => just one use, healing the 2 warriors.
1.0034/1.34 => explained this in your other post

Glad to see, you like Div <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> - I love that game.
