I'm sort of a 'perfectionist' RPG gamer - meaning that I don't like to fail quests. Here are some quests that I've failed. Please tell me what I've missed out on by failing them. Also, please share any thoughts or suggestions you might have.
- Is it okay that I failed the 'Fireworks' quest? I chose not to destroy the cart because I felt guilty doing it. Also, the quest giver was a real jerk and I didn't see the benefit in helping him ruin a good man's life.
- Is it okay that I failed the 'Meet the Wizard Zandalor at the Dwarven Bread Inn' quest? It seems I can't possibly complete this quest. I may have waited too long (which makes me highly discouraged). Go
here for more information on this particular quest (and my current pressing issues with the game).
- Is it okay that I failed the quest where I'm asked to recover Balin's Amulet in the poor quarters? I chose not to help him, and instead ended up killing him and completing the quest given by the NPC that stole Balin's Amulet in the first place. (Is it possible to complete both quests, or must I choose between one or the other?)
Those are the only three failed quests I can recall off the top of my head. I'll surely return with more. I'm mainly concerned that I might eventually (if I haven't already) end up failing an essential quest (one required to progress further in the game) required to continue the unfolding of the main plot.
