i found the amulet and have gone back to merchant. i saved the game.and then gave merchant the amulet.i didnt tell him about the curse.checked my quest log not complete.so i reloaded and gave him the amulet telling him about curse.checked my quest log still not complete.both ways i get experiance points but the quest just does not go to being complete.am i doing some thing wrong i have the latest patch. any advice would be welcome.thanks kingsknight

I have had the same problem and can't seem to fix it. It must be a bug. In fact, I was never given the option to tell him about the curse. Either way, you get the same experience, but it is a bit annoying that the quest is not updated in my diary. Good news: there are fewer bugs than DD. Bad news: there are still bugs in this great game.

IIRC the quest disappears if you talk to the merchant once. As soon as you talk to him the next time => quest reappears. This is a log bug, luckily the quest XP are given.

NO its a bug in the quest log i have had a few of them in the Q log.

I have something different than what was mentioned in this thread. I killed Kirya, and got the amulet,etc... went back to the merchant, albeit, after a day or so, and he did not even recognise that I had the amulet in storage. Kept telling me that KIrya had the key, etc. Well, since I had ben working several quests at once, I had saved over prior to killing Kirya and therefore unable to go back and retrace to make sure I had the amulet.. Still listed in my quests log, etc.

Any thoughts ? Suspect a bug of some nature or is this simply the fact that I took too long to return the amulet ?? Can someone tell me the name of the amulet so that I make sure that I still have it ?

Try moving the amulet in your inventory, or drop it and pick it up again. I don't recall the name of the amulet, but I'm pretty sure it has a unique description. You can test which one it is, since equipping it will immediately kill your characters.
