I've read that before you move onto Act II you should make sure to take everything that you need because you can't go back. My question is, what should we keep? I've been collecting some books including the Book of Raanaar. And I've been collecting manuscripts with the funny writing. I just don't want to leave anything important. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

You don't need to keep the Book of Raanaar; just click on it once before leaving the act to learn part of the language. You don't need any books or manuscripts, though you can bring ones with Raanaar ruins with you until you find all 3 of the Books of Raanaar. Get a low weight container to store them in, to keep your inventory clean, and maybe drop it off in the BF (once you have access) for safe keeping. You don't need any keys or quest items from the first act, etc.

The only things you need are your best weapons / armour, the skeleton summoning doll and crystal bag. The bedroll may be handy, though you can find a couple more early in act 2. Any set or unique items you have will be renamed on act change, and will show up in the trade window, so can be sold.
