i just finished the demo that thought it was a difficult game, and not as good as the original, dd, i remember the complaints about the deathnights voice when the demo was released, but his voice grew on me, very sinister and more realistic.
you could imagine my suprise when today, just few minutes ago, i bought the full game.
man, his voice is terrible, is there any patch, or old sound files released to get the old voice back.
also, any patches i should know about? this is a defualt version of the game.
i would also like to state, that i found it annoying and difficult to target monsters using the new 3d models.
iirc, they were 3d because it took to much time/effort to craft 2d animations, though the gameplay obviously suffered.
also, the balancing of two pc throughout the game looks to also detract from the gameplay, id rather a full party and tb, or single pc.

The voices were changed due to loud / persistent complaints by some, followed by more complaints from another group that preferred the original voices. The DK's voice gets better as the game progresses, and he doesn't talk that much after the beginning of the game, in any case. The latest patch is v1.45. There is no patch to change voices. The 3D models also allow much more variety in equipment, which can also look different when worn by a character (ie not all large shields look exactly the same, a frequent complain in Divine Divinity). How are you trying to target monsters? I didn't have any problems, except for ones which were moving fast (in which case I would pause to target them). You can hold the control key down to target the enemy closest to your mouse cursor. Welcome to the forum. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

You get to the battlefield by R-clicking on the hand icon beside your character. One of the options in the drop down menu is a go to battlefields option. I didn't hide from the DK's, I just killed them all!! More fun and more Exp!!
If God said it, then that settles it!!

The battlefield entry in the main menu is for the after game BF.
The DK patrols were weakened quite a bit from what was originally planned, so you should not have too much trouble killing them. You can sneak past them, or sneak close, attack with a bow and withdraw out of range to attack again. I just had my warrior out front, with the archer character behind set to aggressive, to attack as soon as a DK patrol showed up. I moved each character separately, to keep the archer out of harms way.

The teleporter stone on a pedestal (triggered by picking up one of 3 keys) in the room with the gargoyle statue and crystal bag is fixed in place, and can not be removed. You can get a set of teleporter stones relatively early in act 2, though you loose them once you enter act 4.
