Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Reputation Points Low

I've played the game before and gotten to the council of seven. Now I'm playing it again, and this time I'm around level 15 and my reputation is only 3! I've solved numerous quests (healing the two Aleroth guys, getting the healers their escort, and many more) which should give me reputation points, but I'm only at 3! Some time ago, I think at the beginning of the game, I was at 4. What is happening? I don't understand. The only race hostile towards me are dogs (because that stupid dog in the Dwarven Bread Inn just attacked me and I had to kill him), though I don't think that is a problem. Any suggestions?

You didn't accidentally kill anyone? Even the friendly thieves in the Verdistis sewers (who are not there with the 1.33 patch)? I have not tested this in a new game, but there was a brief delay when transforming back to human form from a statuette before monsters would register the change of alignment. If you walked up to an orc as a spider, turned human and immediately attacked, you would loose reputation for attacking a 'friendly' creature. There are some monsters that are friendly until you talk to them, or until they see you; if you take them out with a bow at long range you can loose reputation.

I killed people like Balin and the guy that slept with Cirgon's wife. But those got me experience and the one was even supposed to give me rep points. I've never transformed into anything. I can't figure this out! Everyone will talk to me, but I really need a high reputation! Even if I did shoot a friendly or too, that shouldn't keep me from getting reputation points, should it? I had just barely solved a quest and watched for a rep point raise and it didn't show! Ack!
