i HAVE SOME ITEMS THAT i AQUIRED THROUGH OUT THE GAME AND i AM WONDERING IF i NEED TO KEEP THEM. IN ACT ONE I AQUIRED SOME GEM STONES AND CHARMS, AND A METAL ROD. IN ACT 2 I AQUIRED A HOLY WATER DISH, MORE GEM STONES AND CHARMS AND ABOUT 6 STINGER TYPE SWORDS, 3 THINGS CALLED ALCHEMY MATERIAL(NOT THE ALCHEMY PLANTS), AND A USED MUSHROOM SPORES POTION. DO I NEED TO KEEP ANY OF THIS STUFF. IT'S ALL JUST AKING UP SPACE IN MY INVENTORY AND WEIGHING ME DOWN. ALSO IS THERE ANY MERCHANTS IN THE GAME WHO ACTUALLY HAVE ENOUGH MONEY ON THEM FOR ME TO SEL THE HOLY WATER TO CAUSE IT'S SAYS IT IS WORTH 25000 GOLD. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" />

The holy water is usable. If you have alchemy level 4, you can make permanent potions with the holy water and the nescesary plants.

To use the charms, you need to find a item (normally weapon or armour), that has a "charm quality" when you have the item equiped (wearing it), you can click on it, and a little box will open with round spaces in it (equal to the charm value), take a charm and drag it into the spaces (they look crossed off, but they accept the charms regardless).

Note: you cannot take charms out ever again....

If you want more info on the charms and how to use them....
Desdemona's page of wonders is a very useful site to see what charms do WHAT exactly.

The normal gemstones (the ones you cant sell at the moment) will convert to the sellable type when you change act.... they just useful for spare cash.

The metal Rod you can chuck away (you needed it to block the gear in the prison arena).

I am not sure about the alchemy material.... so far i havnt discovered how to use it (yet) and i am busy with my 5th time in the game.

If i ever encountered the stinger swords, i probably sold them (or if i couldnt in the act where i found them, in the act after where they converted to sellable stuff)

I cannot remember finding stinger swords, but then again.... i read the stats, not the name... there is no special quest for them, so i dont see any reason to keep them.

Yip, the alchemy material (there are various shapes and sizes through out the game), but they normally grey and squishy looking with "tentacles"

If you can sell them, then do, if not, keep them till the next act, where they will convert into weapons that you can sell...

If you want to know what weapons do what type of damage....

Desdemona's page of wonders has a very comprehensive range of weapons and their stats listed, amongst the rest of wonderful hints/info/tips

the stingers are very useful for killing some elemental creatures (because those creatures have a negative resistance in at least 1 element) in act 2

just don't use earthstinger (don't know the exact name ) on an elemental of earth, flamestinger on an elemental of fire, mudstinger on an elemental of water and cloudstinger on an elemental of air because it will be without any effects...

i think the 4 stingers would be the perfect weapon in bd if they were 1 weapon and not 4... but anyway you can still sell them (what i've done) in act 3
