Once you get to the room with the levers the imp was talking about, you can place one character by the locked door to the far west and have the other pull the 4 levers on the wall, to easily check if you've unlocked the door.
The far right (5th) lever covered in cob webs is a trapped; pulling it will result in an easy fight for a bit of experience. The 4 levers <span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'>should each be pulled and then put back again, from left to right</span> (highlight the text to read). There are other combinations that will open the door, if you just want to play with them a bit.
