Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Newbe questions in first town

I’ve played for a few hours now, and I have two questions in the first town.

First, I found a magic mirror. A book in one of the houses tells me that I can duplicate gems by submerging the mirror in water, then using a gem on it. I have tried dropping the mirror in the healing fountain (shrine) and the puddles of water on the ground, but nothing happens. I want to duplicate the healing gem from the shrine so I can help both of the patients. What am I doing wrong?

Second, I have a quest to bring some herbs back to George. I have the herbs from the garden, but how do I give them to him? When I open the trade menu the herbs don’t show up on my side of the window.

The mirror had me frustrated at first, you need to make sure that the mirror is submerged, use the pool of water you find on the right side of the map, and move it around a bit until it works. Took me about 4 drops before finding a deep enough spot.

The herbs if I remember correctly is a dialog choice, when you have the drunum (can't remember the exact name), you can go to george and he'll be jones'ng for them and ask if you brought them.

with the mirror you need to throw it in the deep puddle south west of thelizards house then throw the healing gem in after it, you will now have 2 healing jems one for each of the wounded, make sure that you have picked up the right plant for george the script should them give yopu the option of giving it to him, hope this helps <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />
