Hello <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Just as a pre-emptive ramble, I'm one of those girls who ashamedly has to phone her boyfriend to find out what operating system my computer is running, so I might not be too good with explaining the technical side of what's going on, but here goes...

I've got the game running, with (afaik) the latest patch installed, and I've encountered several bugs. I've looked through the forums briefly, and I can't seem to find similar problems (but it was just a cursory look and not fine tooth combing).

Problem One: Sometimes when fighting a monster, my screen just plunges into pitch black. My mini map is still running, so I can see the little dots of where I am, but the actual playing screen is just nothing but pure black. I try reloading from an earlier game, but everytime I encounter the same monster the same things happen. Originally it occured when fighting the earth elementals near the imp village, and now it is when fighting the mutants in the little lair beneath the moved boulder.

Problem two: Sometimes after a cut scene, the game simply doesn't resume. For example, after telling the imp hero that his wife needs him, he wanders off screen, and I was just left standing there, unable to move the characters, access the character details, or anything. Again, I tried reloading a few times, and the same event occured. I managed to get around it in the end by splitting up my party, though I'm not sure why this would make a difference.

Problem three: Errors in mini map and main map. Sometimes when I walk into a new area, it simply won't load/reveal on the mini map or main map, remaining a large lump of black. It looks like a graphics glitch, as there is a clear defining straight edge where the graphics simply stop working.

Has anyone else had similar problems? Is there anything I can do to stop these occuring?

Image of problem one. It's pretty unavoidable, I've tried fighting different mosters in the area and the exact same thing occurs.

This may help for the black screen.... if it doesnt, you may have some problem with either our graphics drivers being out of date, or direct X not working properly.

The imp hero cut scene, has been encountered before by some, so its not something unheard of (unfortunately), it is avoided by either ending the conversation using the X in the dialog screen, or by the DK waiting in some other corner of the universe. (Congratulations for figuring that one out - you definately clever enough, since MOST people just get stuck there and cant figure any way around it)

The mini map (am i right to assume that it happens in the battlefields?), is a known issue, because the battlefields are so big, the map is segmented and sometimes the segments dont load properly.
As for the main map, i have only encoutered that once or twice, and both times when i clicked on A (automap) and then returned, my screen was fixed again....
