I found myself in this imp village, and started accumulating a lot of quests. Then I went out into the wild areas, the two areas where the guard gave a warning about entering. In one area, I was told to look for and kill a mummy, which I never could find. In the other area, I started to look for the alchemist's 3 herbs so he can make potions, and now I really don't know what is going on with this game.

I went into the cave hidden by the rock. On the first level, I found a locked door which I can't open. There was a key nearby, but it was placed within a wall, and I cannot get to it (wish they did NOT make these dungeons random so they could test them better).

I entered the second level, where the stairway collapses and there is no way to go up again. Here I found the quest mushroom, but also found two locked entrances to a room which I can see has a lever and a stairway. But there are no keys! There is no way to get in. I saved game and gave one of my men lockpicking up to level 7 but that didn't work. Then I found the room with the crystal. I picked the crystal up, got teleported to the summoner, who then sent me to a completely different area.

So what is going on? What about all those quests in the imp village that I didn't finish? Will I get to go back? What is it with these locked doors in that first and second level cave?

Can someone tell me if my game is going completely wrong? Or are these bugs? Or do I not understand something.

Your game is not going completely wrong. Don't worry everything is normal.

First you have to finish the quest with the necromancer.
Then he will teleport you outside of the cave.
At this moment you will be able to explore the second act maps and to finish all your quests in the imp village.

The 'mummy' was actually a 'mommy', as in the queen spider. Keep exploring the spider forest if you did not encounter her (in the north central area).

For the locked chest in the cave, did you notice that one of the walls surrounding it is an illusion that you can walk through? The walls around the key... <span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'>are also partly illusion, and you can move the 2 barrels out of the way to get to the key.</span> (highlight the text to read)

After you complete the necromancer's task, you will be able to open the locked doors in the cave. Only the BF dungeons are randomly generated.

Note:
Complete all other quests before bringing the ingredients back to the alchemist and having him make the cure.

Lockpick is currently broke, and does not work.
