im realy stuck on this one...iv read walkthroughs and tryed to figure out this one along time now....but i cant find the cave to get the special mushroom...plz if someone could be so kind to post a link here whit a map locating the spot to the cave entrance or give detailed information on where it is i would be most gratefull

that's where i tought it was since i read on walktrhough that u should get a cut scene there asking if u whant to remove a big rock to enter there...thing is i havent got any cut sceen there so what the hell should i do now ?

and btw in another walkthrough i read for this quest it sayed the location for the cavern for this mushroom is in the mushroom forest ????

Try again and if it does not work reload an old savegame.

There are several mushrooms in this part of the game.
But the yellow bafflimiri mushroom for the alchemist is in the dead forest.

Well so fun iv tryed like 100 times and there is nothing i can do at that stone....i have no save games b4 that i only use the 5 quick saveing system so im completly screwed ?

is this some kinda cut sceen bug ? anyways to get round this ? is there any patch out that maby will fix this bug ? this is insane im not gona replay all this =/

Yes it is a bug. The last patch don't fix it.
I am really sorry for you but you have to replay because you need this mushroom for a main quest.
If you don't do it you can't continue the game.

well this sux...im gona replay then if its the only way...im gona go step by step whit walgthrough till the point i last was...and save whit regular saves alot so this problem dosent repeat itself..this is third replay..my first char was a total gimp i played him to act2 then had to replay cuz i relized he sucked to much hehe

There is a bug with finding the cure ingredients and moving them in your inventory before talking to the alchemist. That triggers a quest log update prematurely, and prevents the cut scene at the rock covering the mushroom cave. There are a couple ways to work around this problem;

[*] Complete all other quests and save the game.
[*] If you have a save before finding the alchemist's ingredients and moving them, copy the 2 story.* files from that save into your latest save, otherwise you can use these files from a save at the beginning of the imp village.
[*] Talk to Altoflix in the north of the village (if required), then the chieftain's son to get the quest to find the alchemist, talk to the alchemist once (only) and head to the cave.
[*] Continue with the game.

thx man cuz i replayed the game to the point i last was..when i come to the imp village i whent directly to that stone point and got no cut sceen and was about to smash my keyboard to bits...but then relized it must be some trigger flaw bug thingy...so i have saved lots of saves this time regularry not quick save like last time =)
so if i do the alchemist quest step by step correctly as u have described it should work...thx in adwance

There will be no cut scene at the rock if you have not spoken to the alchemist and agreed to gather the ingredients. He has to tell you the rock is movable before your characters will try it.

Replacing the story files should get the cut scene working properly. All other quests need to be done first, since the old story files may cause problems with any unfinished quests.

well thx alot iv allready worked it all out now...got the stone removed and all...just thinking if there is any other quest that is triggered and halfly bugged like this in the future ?

There are a couple quest items that can bring back quest entries (like moving the spores antidote), but no other ones which cause more than cosmetic problems. There are some situations where an NPC may not recognize you have required items for some quest, but usually moving the items or dropping them will force the NPC to react properly.
