Ok, so I managed to kill my comp a while ago , and now it seems ok with lots of new bits and WinXP instead of ME. I kept my saved games from previous computer and placed them into my saved games folder after i reinstalled BD on my new PC. So, all was okay until i start to play today. I'm in Act 2 and just about to pick up Imp Shamans crystal fragment, so i decided to finish BFs as I think I have all keys. I go in and start hacking and slashing and think hmmm i still havent gained a level (am only at lvl 21), so i check my XP and realise that when I kill monsters etc I am not gaining any XP from them!!!! WHAT the F???? So i load a previous game, and seems ok but then - at no particular point in the game it happens again and my XP stops going up. I even went back and picked up the fragment resulting in me getting lvl 22, but when im sent to rivellon by the necro i have same problem!!!! PLEASE HELP i was really getting back into the game and now this happens

As far as I've understood it, the amount of experience points is related to the level of the enemy.

If your level is too high, then you won't get any more xp's.

Raze and XP points/levels, click here

Hi, Sugarplumpfaerie and welcome - please, look at the link. How many levels is your char higher than the enemies you're killing? If I understood Raze's graphic correctly, being 8 lvls higher is the crucial point and not receiving them. Has to do with game balance.

Getting XP for a quest-related action (fragment) is always the same, but killing XP depends on your lvl. I checked the Shaman in my save, he is lvl 18 (version 1.3, played on tactical) - but my char was far lower than yours, as I skip the BF.

Thanks so much for that guys, guess I'm just used to games where you getthe same XP for monsters no matter what level you are, it makes more sense this way but still sucks as almost ALL monsters are at least 8 lvls below me in these BFs

I NOTICED THE SAME WITH MY GAME WHILE I WAS IN ACT TO WITH THE HOLE IMP VILLAGE AREA. I WAS A LEVEL 18 IN THE IMP VILLAGE AND I FOUND THAT MY XP RARELY WENT UP BECAUSE I WAS KILLING MOSTLY TIBARS, AND FLOOGEFRGS ETC ETC. THE ELEMENTALS WERE THE ONLY THINGS I MANAGED TO GET XP FROM WHEN I KILLED THEM AND EVEN THOSE POINTS DIDN'T COME VERY QUICKLY.

I didn't kill the animals, because I found them cute ... But that's a different story ...
