Do I need a special skill to enchant items? I have lots of charms and no way to put them into slots because they are all crossed out.
I have 5 crystals and the crystal bag, but cant seem to put the crystals into the bag, anything I am overlooking?
Sometimes having trouble with quests not being recognized as filled. IE> in beg. of game, I found the mole's rags, went to talk to the woman (I think annabelle) with rags in inventory and she did not recognize that I had the moles white rags. I could not get her to accept that I found them for her. is this a bug fix or a user error?
Please help

Once the the crystal bag is in your inventory, you have to open it like you would a chest or barrel. You simply double click on it and a little windows opens and you drag the crystals into it. Some advice for you in regards to the crystals in general. SImply having the crystals in your inventory gives you resistance to the stimuli that the crystal is designed for, so just place your large crystals into the bag. when you put small ones in there the difference they make is negligable, but when you put a large crystal in there you get something like 10 point increase for that resistance. Keep all the crystals you find cause like i said they help just being in your inventory. Now when it comes to charms the red, green, and blue charms hardly do anything to your weaponry, armor and such, so i chose not to charm anythin unless i had a silver or gold charm because they are the only ones that add anything to your gear that truly make a difference. Also keep in mind that once you charm something you can't take it back. Look at it this way, there are some weapons that take over 100 hp per hit, and putting a green, red, or blue charm on the that only increases one point or two seems like a waist. You get silver and gold cahrms in act 2 aswell as weapons that take over 100 hp. Sell your red ,blue, and green charms to get armor or weapons, or even just to save it for the purchase of gold or silver charms. Just my thoughts!

Hi and welcome, Corinth

regarding the rags => which version are you playing, please? And did you get these rags in one of the 3rd lvls of the dungeons you cleaned?

Crystal bag => you need no skill for this - but you have to place the small crystal bag inventory NEXT to your large inventory, otherwise the small pane will disappear after clicking on it to open it. Everything else was explained thoroughly by Phil

Raze and his charm list, click

Charms => it's ok, if the slots are crossed out in BD. Simply drag&drop a charm into the item, after clicking on it to open. Procedure is different to Divine Divinity, where you needed a skill "enchant weapon".

Thanks again, this will help tremendously. I am not sure what version I have. I got the moles white rags in the 2nd dungeon in Act 1. I also had another quest that did not seem to end. in citadel level 9, I had to bring Ross a book he had left in the infirmary. I got the book, which was down a hatch along with a skill book, put the book into my inventory and went back to finish the quest. when I talked to Ross, he asked if I had seen his book, and I never got dialogue to release the book to him, so I could never finish quest or get exp. points. he also never turned into an enemy when i then put on my own armor tossed the guard armor. I downloaded the v1.45 patch and will install tonight, see if this makes a difference. Right now I am about to finish act I and move to act II and would like to finish some of the quests.

Hm, do you mean the gay medic Amon? He wanted a book from the spider cell in the arena.

The other book-loving guy was merchant Tully. Yes, this quest was buggy in the early version. But he wanted a book from the general Bram (was in a secret cellar). You now not only get XP after patching, you get a Deathclaw as well => a 2-hander sword as a reward.

please, look at this pic link - here you can see where your version has to stand. 1.45 is the current one, if you patched.

BTW, if you patch, the BF (Battlefields) don't change in the current act, as they are generated as soon as you enter them the first time. But the BF in the other acts will be better.

Tully, yes. thats the guy. I dont know where I got Ross from. But yes, i got the book from gen. brams office cellar and Tully just wont recognize that I have the book for him. thanks for your suggestions. I will patch tonight and hopefully be merrily on my way to kick butt in Act II.
This forum is great, if not found I would have probably gone through most of the entire game not knowing how to charm or use the crystal bag. I made that same mistake in Beyond Divinity where I was at the gathering of 7 before I finally got a clue that you needed the enchant weapon skill to actually put charms in the items. I had so many charms I collected that were gold that is was a party to slay demons in the final scene.
