Ok here is one that might be a little fun to do and see the responses too.

What is your most used [color:"yellow"]Character Name[/color] you use when making a RPG Character?
Male Name and then Female Name.

What is the most unusual name you have used?

Ok these are mine for Male Name it is Wind Spirit , and for Female Name is Sprite that I use the most often.

And the most unusual name that I have used was Zippo.

LOL
I have seen that alot of folks do that. I did it too the very first time I palyed <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> and had to start it all over when I noticed it. Thank GOD I was not very far into the game so starting over was no big deal.

Something greekish sounding, often with "tha" as beginning. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> Like "Thalos", for example. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Draughn Horgan tends to be my male barbarian. Any other name I use is non-anglo, but still has the feel of a name.

Okay, I'll keep this short, although I have created loads of characters in my role playing life...

My dwarves are almost always called Tjure. (It's a name from a German children's TV series of my childhood - "Wickie".)

Sveltje, my user name, is actually my latest DSA character, a female acrobat. The name is derived from the word "svelte".

Unusual? Maybe this counts: In the game Gothic the character has no name. But I always referred to him as "Schnucki". I have no idea why, it surely doesn't sound very fighter-like <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

My female characters I either use the names ‘Kyra’ or ‘Anastasia’. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/kitty.gif" alt="" />

When I get a wild hair and I do decide to play a male character I call him
‘Biff Biffington’ and I role play him as an all Brawn and no Brain Fighter type. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ROFL.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ROFL.gif" alt="" />

No offense meant to any of the guys. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

When I palyed Icewind Dale II( whoch I hated btw) I had to pick many names. Then I tended to have my big bad fighter be a dwarf (dwarves are really BIG bad, don't you think?) named Balwin Brumme. And I allso tended to have my rouge to be a women named Charlotte the Harlot... (Yes, after the Iron Maiden song). And (as it was ID II) I allways picked the "female bard" for her voice (one of the few funny voices in ID II).
I allso tend to have my carracter's named after Terry Prachett figures (my mages is allmost exlusive called Rincewind, and my fighters ar allso allmost exlusive called Djingis Choen (after Cohen the Barbarian)).

@ (Th)Alrik: glad you liked it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />.

For Blizzards D2 I used very unoriginal names : Zoola, Noola and others containing two vowels. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

There is already a thread about favourite character names in the forum.
It was more than one year ago.
I guess that some answers are quite different !

That's because all of the good names are taken... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> (If you play online)

Though I liked my barbarian. 'Ihitthings' <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

@ Womble

Do you mean that names like Zoola, Noola or other names containing two voyels are bad names ? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

BTW i have registered to play Warcraft 3 online. My name is Jeddah (like my beloved dog).
I am a very bad gamer online. Who wants to play with me ?

I would, if my WC3 had worked <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />.

Anywhay, for my D2 char's, I had a leapbarbarian called Flying Zumo, and a Blizz sorc called It's Raining Men. And I named all kind's of characters Charlotte the Harlot (well, it was too long, but I varied it quite mutch...)

I to use many different Character names depending on the game. If it is where I control only one character then I always play a male and female character and normally use my favorite names. If it is a party group then I try to use different names within the different groups. When I play groups I normally make 2 to 3 different groups with different combination of characters to play.

Barta I did not look under the <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> general forum for this topic for I was talking about all RPG games so I never thought to look there too see if this topic was talked about. I am sorry that I have doubled up on it.

Everyone so far have some great Character Names. Ya all make my Character names look Mundane to say the least. LOL

Good Gamin to all

It does't matter if there is a new thread about character names.
The other one is very old and it was not easy to find it.
I just remembered that Lucretia talked about Angélique in this topic.
So i used the search function with "Angélique".

I gave the link of the old topic because it is fun to read the character names of the ancient members.
Some of them are still here like Alrik who is always fond of greek names <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" /> but a lot of people are gone. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

@ Ub
"It's raining men" is a very great name for a witch <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />
I will use it some day.
Charlotte is a great french name too. Like Angélique.
