Everytime I try to kill a drummer, they slaughter me in seconds. Any tip(s) would be appreciated.

As a warrior, I found Stun to be very useful. Wizards tend to prefer Freeze. Others have lured them into human territories and let the guards do their dirty work. Ultimately, these monsters are best left for later when you are more powerful.

it may be useful even for a warrior i think to wait at least until having the shield spell (mage's spell, available after lvl 10) or main attack skill @lvl 3 (available lvl 13) both for a mage and for a warrior...

I was wondering the same thing. I've never seen any orcs in the game.

Definetely it's a Divine Divinity question.

First : don't attack them if your character is too weak.
Just run and come back later to kill them.

Apart from Freeze or a weapon with Frost - the most effective I found was poisoned weapon, which can be got early in the game and is a real Orc Killer <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
