in cursed abby i get to the kitchen and make some potions with the mushrooms that are there and i try to run out. i cant run so i look at my stamina and its empty, i get some stamina potions and drink them because my stamina isnt auto restoring and my stamina bar gos full and then automatically drains its self, i'm not even moving! ive tryed loading a previous save, sleeping getting mardanueous to heal me, everything and it still auto drains.

You have found a cursed (what is it again?)... I think It's a halbread. If you've got an unidentified halbread in your inventory, that's it. (If it isn't a halbread, it's pretty big, and the level of identification is quite high, 4 or 5, not shure.)

As Übereil said you picked up the Halberd of the Rock.
It's a high quality staff, but it'll drain your stamina if you have it equipped or in your inventory. So unless you like walking everywhere it's best to sell the halberd immediately or leave it where it is.

Good Luck and Fun Gamin to ya.

This is great. I am sure glad to know that I wasn't the only one who
wondered what was going on.

I had picked the halbred up and had saved, gone to the room with all of
the bookcases, and was checking them out when I noticed my stamina was
gone. I couldn't believe it. What had I done wrong? No idea!!!!

I had saved before going in the Abby, so I reloaded and replayed that part
again watching my stamina very carefully. This time when I picked up the halbred, I turned to go back to the room with the bookcases and noticed my stamina
going down. I knew then that it had to be the halbred. I took it to George
to ID and then stashed it at Joram's to sell later.

Anybody have any idea what it can be sold for? I hope it is a lot.
I have no idea since I have yet to find another merchant to sell stuff too.

P.S. Oh, and it didn't hurt me replaying. I got better drops especially from the lich, and I also found two feat books in the bookcases (sparks and limbs of lead). Not a bad halbred after all.

Half the reason that the Beyond Divinity forum isn't as active as the Divine Divinity forum was after release is that there is no cursed halberd in the abbey to get people signing up to ask why their stamina will not regenerate.

The stats on the halberd are random, but it is often a fairly good weapon, so should fetch a good price. There are more merchants straight east of the cursed abbey, on the other side of a locked garden.

Good one Raze.

Larian did good there. At least I thought they did.

This one has some pretty good stats to it so hopefully I will be
able to sell it for lots of gold.

And thanks for the info about where I will find some more merchants.
