Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Books and papers with pictures?

Do the books and papers with pictures on them mean anything or are they used for anything special? I've been finding alot of cool pictures in the game and don't know if I should keep them or what. Also are there any books that i should be keeping for any reason other than spell books?

Just for fun and adding atmosphere. There are 3 special books though you get a skill from by finding them.
And you should keep books given to you: Worshippers, Malcolm's account book (found), summoning book.

On the sheets with the pictures there is some writing. It is written in a font, and can be translated. Hellfighter once wrote a Program for translating that ... - the text is in german.

They are Younger Futhark runes. You can directly translate them into the modern alphabet, though those in the game are German phrases. I've got a book on the runes, but I don't know of any web sites that have them (just do a search). They are also the same runes used in The Lord Of The Rings.

I have made a few assumptions here, so if anyone knows something contrary that is true, let us know please.
