Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Resistance Bug? Base: +100 poison, - 100 spirit

Nearing the end of the game I noticed that my base resistance was + 100 poison, -100 spirit, with defaults of 0 for fire and lightning. This is after taking off all equipment and items. I am not sure what triggered this and recent savegames have this anomaly. I had recently acquired the dragon armour and done the sword in the stone quest. Any suggestions on what could cause this?
Its nice to be immune to poison, but the spirit damage represents a problem <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />
With equipment poison resistance is 185!

I accidentally let the sword in stone ghost kill the elven villagers of Fui Nimble and the collectors before placing sword back.

May answer own question here. I should have looked at other posts first.

I put on the silver armor before upgrading it to the Larian armor, and it has the magic barrier +1. I am using version 1.34, which supposedly addresses this problem. Will try to add a point to magic barrier or use the character editor if all else fails.

Actually, the Magic Barrier bug causes all resistances to drop.

In your case (+100 poison, -100 spirit), the change is temporary (though lasts for something like a couple hours real time) and is the result of drinking a Super Drug potion. This potion is light blue, and can found or made with Alchemy from the Drudanae herb from Lanilor's garden.

You're right. I had drank a superdrug potion previously, not knowing what it would do. I didn't notice any attribute changes but didn't pay attention to resistances. I geuss I will just sleep it off then. Problem resolved. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
