If you do all the side quests and explore everywhere, the game will take on the order of 100 hours. You could do it in about half that time if you are not particular about getting everything.

Yes, 100 hours will do if you fulfill all the quests, and it's worth doing so

Raze, I am pretty sure you spent many more hours on DD than just 100

I remember that I was really hooked on DD. And then again you can think "yeah pretty normal", but honestly, I wouldn't have finished it, if I weren't so much in love with the game. For me, it's still the best I have ever played. At that time, I had probs with my PC at home, so I installed it at my PC in the office. Every day, I was transporting the office PC to my home and vice versa again. Boy, that took some energy! Especially because I hardly slept. Yeah, I had quests to fulfill!

100+ hours is a fair estimate.... i must make another attempt at playing again,

That's a nice story Lynn...i also remember coming home for lunch and not even eating......it was just to *squeeze in* an extra 15-20 minutes of gametime...cuz i was that addicted....playing till 2A.M , and then up at 7 for work in between....i loved that game! and it loved me too! It seduced me into playing so much it was ALL i was doing....

Sometimes the game does not work with 32-bit color mode.
My main suspects are
1. latest windows updates.
2. latest windows media player plugins.
3. directx updates.
4. quicktime installation
or something happens. tell me if you have a guess.

So whenever these updates take place (automatically or I do it foolishly)I format my c drive to get the game working again. I had to do it twice last week.

Hm, I thought was optimized for 16 bit ? ...
