Are there any good language translating programs out there for the PC or online, to convert from one language to another language quite accurately?

the only one i know, which is online that is, is the BabelFish translator service in Altavista search engine. http://babel.altavista.comhope that helps. just for your info, it may translate word-by-word correctly but don't put too much hope on contextual translation. edit: if u have a Palm handheld, u can always check out www.freewarepalm.com for freebies on translator/dictionary progies.

Babylon is quite good, but no longer free (trial period ?) .
Apart from that I only know commercial programs.

If you are willing to buy the program Spoiler : Its also available for download from quite a few "filesharing" servers, but i never said this ... the best one i found so far is Systran... it only does european languages, but i found it to be the most acurate so far. The only thing that i wish any translator could do is grammar.... but technology will get there one day.

Hmm, not bad. The cockney need work on its rhyming slang however. I'm totally knackered, I've been running up and down the stairs all day! Becomes: I'm totally knackered, been runnin' up and dahn the apples and pears all day. When It should be this: I'm totally cream crackered (creamed), been runnin' up and dahn the apples all day. Bloody cockneys....

Hmmm... I was thinking of QFG4, Ultima and text-games when I wrote that(narrational-based games). I've no idea what "Um gesh dee bork, bork!" means... I didn't include that in my sentence. :P
